"Growing a Greener World"

Tomorrow's Earth Day and it's a great time to check out all the simple, meaningful ways we can contribute to "greening"our lives. From recycling plastics and glass to sharing garden space, there's a wealth of opportunities to help reuse and recycle.

Speaking of "green"- there's a groundbreaking new Public Broadcasting television series, "Growing a Greener World," that's premiering May 15th. This uber cool show features our friend and national gardening guru and author, Joe Lamp'l (a.ka. joe gardener) for 26 episodes that are focused on environmental stewardship. Joe will be joined by "Garden Girl" Patti Moreno and celebrity chef Nathan Lyon, host of "A Lyon in the Kitchen."

The Liquid Fence Company is sponsoring the series that features people, organizations and events that are making a positive impact on the earth, and inspirational "how-to" projects that teach us how to be better stewards of the environment.

Joe and Patti highlight the latest eco-trends along with more traditional gardening know-how, while Chef Lyon demonstrates how to prepare healthy meals with fresh vegetables from the garden- and locally grown produce. (Can't wait to try them out!)

So definitely check this series out and let us know any inspirational ideas you put into practice to green your world! :)

Wow, we're honored to be your first post and I'd say you picked a good one! We're excited too. Thanks for helping to spread the word. We're really busy and all over the country right now (currently somewhere between San Francisco and Detroit at 35,000 feet). We have such a great lineup of shows and a really hard-working, dedicated and like-minded crew behind every episode.
Cheers,
Joe Lamp'l
