Adrian Higgins talks about sustainable gardens

I love to read Adrian Higgins stories. They are always so thoughtful, interesting -- and full of his extra dry humor. This piece on green gardening is no exception. He starts out by poking fun at himself. And then all of us. He talks in his recent article about The Sustainable Sites Initiative (http://www.sustainablesites.org/) and what it seeks to achieve for landscapes -- residential, commercial, institutional. and what the U.S. Green Building Council has accomplished in the design and construction of ecologically friendly buildings. Since 2000 the council has certified 2,122 buildings, and 17,450 more are in the pipeline. See his full story http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/02/04/AR2009020401255.html

Adrian Higgins writes thoughtfully about sustainable gardens with a humorous perspective, focusing on the Sustainable Places Initiative and its goal of creating eco-friendly landscapes for homes, businesses and institutions. Enjoy his series of light-hearted reflections that can be as fun as io games, where you can freely explore and grow.

I still recall the night I spent hours on Sprunki Retake, creating an eerie composition that sent shivers down my spine, and it was then that I realized the true power of music in evoking emotions, a feeling that has stayed with me to this day.
