That's right. I am in training to "rulk" -- that's run and walk -- in a 26 mile marathon October 29th in Dublin, Ireland. I'm doing this to honor all individuals who are battling blood cancers and to help find a cure.
Our team hero Reagan, age 3, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). Ironically, on Sunday, June 10, the day we started training for our marathon, Reagan completed her marathon 26 months of treatment. She is now a very typical, active 5 year old -- in remission and in the maintenance phase. You can read more about her at www.teamintraining.org/de
I'm also doing this especially for my dog Chance, who was diagnosed with lymphoma in May. He's my buddy and will be walking with me during my training.
So why do I need your help? The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training raises funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives, and I need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! Please make a generous donation to help advance the Society's mission and cheer me on as I train and support my participation in Team In Training. Visit my web site often for updates on my progress and to see the final photo finish.
Thanks from Reagan, Chance and all of us at Team in Training for your support! It is most appreciated.
