New Vibrant Garden Plants & Products for Spring 2015

Warm weather and blooming foliage are on the horizon. In anticipation, Garden Media Group has released its much awaited 2015 Garden Superstars for Spring. Making an appearance on this year’s list are breathtaking patio plantings, chemical-free lawn care products and a new spin on a traditional garden flower.

Much of the winter is spent wishing for warmth and color. Now, it’s time to grow! These low maintenance and durable plants and products leave a lasting impression with their easy outdoor style and vibrant appeal.

Here is Garden Media’s list of Garden Superstars for Spring 2015. 

New Lily in Bloom. Longfield Gardens celebrates spring with the new ‘Kaveri lily’ - a cross breed of two classics, the lily combines the bright colors and bud-count of Asiatic with the fragrance, strength and size of Oriental.

The Kaveri lily, taller and fuller than a typical Asiatic, has strong, 4-foot stems. It produces up to eight buds that open into large, upward-facing blossoms and feature an array rich, bold colors like yellow-gold, tangerine and brick red.

In addition to standing out in the garden, the lily also makes a statement in bouquets due to its long vase life. 

The Kaveri lily blooms in early summer, right after peonies and irises. For best results, plant bulbs in a sunny location with well-drained, fertile soil.

‘Icing’ on Top. Plant BrazelBerries’® new Pink Icing™ in a decorative patio pot, landscape or garden for continuous and consistent, electric color with the added benefit of an exquisite-tasting blueberry.
