"The Flower Show"

The 2011 Philadelphia International Flower Show is in full swing. This year the theme is "Springtime in Paris."

With our snowy winter and lingering cold, it's a relief to welcome spring in such high fashion!
The show is world-renowned and boasts that it's the "the largest indoor flower show in the world!"

And no wonder. With over 180 vendors, lectures, demos, contests, activities for young and old, and what seems like acres of amazing exhibits, it really does deserve the accolades it annually receives.

Located at the Philadelphia Convention Center, it runs from Sunday, March 6th-Sunday, March 13th with something cool and interesting to see and do each day.

Check out their calendar of events (tonight is free wine and spirits tasting and discounts to participating area restaurants) and "Greensource" that features designers and panel discussions.
Plus, there's free gardening presentations held throughout the week as well as live broadcasts.

Proceeds from the show benefit the Philadelphia Horticultural Society.

Personally, I can't wait to see "Opulent Paris and "Underground Paris" (booked as the catacombs of avant garden art) displays.

Enjoy! And if you plan to go, let us know what exhibit , program, display or event made you swoon!
