Norfolk Island Pine To The Rescue

Well, Christmas is just around the corner and we haven't even picked out our tree yet. Yikes, where has the time gone!

Luckily my daughter understands that we're in the midst of remodeling our kitchen, so the tree has been put on hold. Since our house is in total disarray, I'm thinking of just picking up a decorated Norfolk Island Pine this week at a local home store. I'll just add some mini lights and some of our own ornaments to make it special.

What's great about the Norfolk Island Pine is that it's long lasting and we can keep it as an indoor plant throughout the year. After the holidays, I can untrim our mini tree and place it in a pretty pot and use as a house plant.

If you're in the market for one as well, check out these great tips from Costa Farms here.

I actually have my first Norfolk Pine from Costa Farms. It is just perfect, and very pretty. I decorated it with a simple strand of old(family heirloom) garland, and it looks lovely.
Since buying it the day after Thanksgiving, it has thrived, and has new growth in the tips. I am so thrilled with it!
