City Gardens Contest

Each year, the Philadelphia Horticultural Society hosts a "City Garden's Contest" and I am lucky enough to be a judge. My team's category was Container Gardens. Although I wasn't happy about this at first -- I had a great day and as usual was inspired. I took so many pictures and talked about it for days (Sorry Brandon, I know I talk your ear off!) One woman, who was from Jamaica had created a tropical oasis in the city. She had coffee, mango and fig trees potted up to remind her of her home. And this was just the first of 7 gardens that we judged. Kathleen GMG
