Chicago is...My kind of 'FRESH AIR' town!

JOIN US at Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago for the Kick-off Event for our “Fresh Air Tour!”

Costa Farms is teaming up with Roots & Shoots, a program of the Jane Goodall Institute, to give Chicago residents and new mothers a gift of a live indoor plant to continue the public service campaign: “O2 for You” –Houseplants with a Purpose.

This public service campaign highlights the many health benefits of indoor plants both in the home and at work – from producing oxygen to purifying the indoor air of toxins. A team of volunteers will be giving out Peace Lilies to communities, a senior residential center, and new mothers at a hospital maternity ward as a “gift of fresh air” for new mothers to take home.

When: Wednesday, July 22nd, 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Where: Garfield Park Conservatory – Kick-off Event
300 N. Central Park Ave., Chicago, IL

Who: Representatives from Costa Farms, Roots & Shoots, Green Teens, University of Illinois Medical Center, the Civic Knowledge Project, New Communities Program/LISC and Chicago Park District

Why: To launch the Chicago Fresh Air Tour – O2 For You: Houseplants with a purpose campaign. Immediately following the kick-off event, volunteers will distribute hundreds of Peace Lilies to East Garfield Park communities of Chicago to carry this grass roots movement to families in their homes.
