Getting Focused

Yesterday I had one of those "fun" days at work. I spent the afternoon with Costa Farms at focus groups in Philadelphia. I love research. People tell you the darndest things. We were in a beautiful building on the 27th floor overlooking the city -- except we "observers" were looking behind a one way class mirror in a blackened out room from which we watched as two groups of 10 beginners and 8 "avid" gardeners talked about gardening. We were amazed at the passion and honesty of the participants. It was very eye opening to hear from both groups about why and how they garden. We'll be writing up a little insight when the 5 city tour is completed. Plus we'll be letting the cat out of the bag soon about this "top secret" new product we're rolling out Spring 2010.
