Thursday Steve Castorani from North Creek Nurseries and Mark Sellew from Pride's Corner celebrated Earth Day with some volunteers at the National Wildlife Federation headquarters in Virginia. They planted American Beauties Native Plants in two Backyard Habitat display gardens. A big thanks to all the volunteers who helped dig holes and plant the American Beauties.

A Backyard Habitat planted with natives is a great way to add life to your backyard, be a good steward of the earth and wildlife, and teach your children how to be thoughtful gardeners. Plus a native plant planted in the right spot will be a happy plant for a very long time and will require little to no water, food, chemicals or work on your part!!! Now that's what I want. A beautiful backyard without all the work -- and plants that support a great cause.
