Here comes the judge -- for the Garden Writers Awards

I was in Washington this weekend with about 25 really cool garden writers, photographers, graphic designers and editors judging the Garden Writers Association (GWA) prestigious GWA Media Awards . We looked at more than 320 eligible entries from the top communicators in 2008 who were up for the 2009 Garden Writers Association Media Awards. Saw so many outstanding entries it was hard to make a selection, but the GWA magic worked and the best of the best rose to the top.
