Organic Gardening Awards Seal of Approval

Organic Gardening Magazine, the leading media resource for ‘living lightly from the ground up’™, has awarded The Organic Mechanics Soil Company its “Seal of Approval” for its organic potting soils and soil amendments.

According to Ethne Clarke, editor-in-chief of Organic Gardening Magazine, Organic Mechanics® soils were selected because of their 100% organic, environmentally sound composition and sustainable production practices.

“Our seal of approval recognizes that Organic Mechanics ® potting soils are right in line with our mission to work in harmony with nature,” explains Clarke. “It is important to us they are completely peat-free and use composted byproducts and local ingredients in a creative and beneficial way.”

Beginning January 1, 2011, the Organic Gardening Seal of Approval will be displayed on all Organic Mechanics® products, including OMRI Listed Premium Blend Potting Soil, Planting Mix and Container Blend Potting Soil.

“Being recognized by Organic Gardening Magazine for our commitment to organics and sustainability is an honor,” says Mark Highland, president of Organic Mechanics Soil Company.

Organic Mechanics® Potting Soils use only the finest 100% organic, all natural and completely peat-free ingredients. They deliver superior results for sustainable home gardeners, professional growers, organic farms, arboretums and botanic gardens.
Whether you’re seed starting or repotting, or planting container gardens or trees, each Organic Mechanics® blend offers unique organic matter that retains moisture, enhances the roots and gives plants an advantage.

“Thanks to the healthy, ‘living biology’ in all our soils, gardeners who plant flowers and veggies or trees and shrubs can expect to water less and see big results with little effort,” says Highland.
